Growing up in a racing family sparked within Don a passionate interest in auto racing and impacted his practice, with a focus on defense of claims and cases brought against organizers of all sports and recreational activities.
Don has legal experience in everything from race tracks, golf courses and swimming pools, to gyms, stadiums and arenas. He is nationally recognized for his experience with assumption of risk in sports and recreation.
He also defends clients in a wide variety of civil lawsuits including motor vehicle accidents, nursing homes, premises liability cases, products liability and business issues. In addition, he often represents insurance carriers directly.
Don, has over 40 years of practice under his belt and is an intense advocate who leaves no stone unturned, knowing that hard work and preparation are always key.

- Presenter, Liability Issues in Motorsports, Annual Racing Attorneys Conference (TRAC), Charlotte, N.C., April 8-9, 2015: A joint program by the North Carolina and Indianapolis, IN bar associations, TRAC brings together the best motorsports attorneys in the U.S. to provide a continuing education program. Don was on a panel with the President of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and the Vice President-General Counsel of Bristol Motor Speedway. The program alternates annually between the two motorsports capitals of Charlotte and Indianapolis.
