Jim has been lead counsel in over 600 civil cases and 40 jury trials at last count. Jim has also argued numerous cases on appeal and in the Ohio Supreme Court.
Jim works with clients and insurers regarding risk analysis, liability and damage assessment, future loss prevention, and early accident investigation. He has built a diverse litigation practice representing both plaintiffs and defendants, in cases ranging from motor vehicle accidents to claims involving product liability, premises liability, and professional negligence. Jim has won defense verdicts in catastrophic injury cases as well as claims for wrongful death.
In representing plaintiffs in medical malpractice cases, Jim has successfully negotiated a number of million-dollar settlements, and has won a $12 million jury verdict, the single largest verdict in the State of Ohio for a medical claim.
